We needed an electric grinder for flax seeds, did extensive research, and even tried a hand grinder. We found that this type of coffee grinder worked perfectly for grinding raw flax seeds.

We have always bought ground coffee (a habit from the old perculator days). Have only good things to say about the Krups. It is small - only grinds a little bit at a time - which suits us because we brew coffee via the Melita 1-cup system which uses a small amount of coffee. The freshly-ground coffee smells so good and it's fun to grind your own coffee. Don't see myself buying ground coffee in the future. No problems so far.

This grinder is easy to use and doesn't have alot of parts to break down. So far I love it. I also loved the price. The only thing I could improve on would be a finer grind option, although I had another brand with that option that broke down after a few months of use. I need to get a small brush to clean it out after use. It's all one needs to have fresh ground coffee each morning.
