wow, i got this for my almost-2-yr-old. just now, she was licking it for a few minutes and the paint came off!! MADE IN CHINA i would guess!? the paint better NOT have any lead in it!!!

My three year old is having a lot of fun with the food groups. We cook with the food, go grocery shopping, sort the food and I love how the food stores in the crates that they come in. We love Melissa & Doug products and this is no exception.

I LOVE Melissa and Doug everything! I got this set for my almost 2 year old daughter and she loves it so much! We store them in her play kitchen. It's colorfully painted and comes in wooden crates for easy storage. I love how this set represents the four food groups and my daughter can identify a lot of the foods already! When ever she wants banana for instance, she brings me the banana and shouts "Nana!!" I find these little guys everywhere in the house. Especially when I'm cooking! She'll be a little cooker soon enough! I'm so happy to have these toys for her wooden collection. By far one of our best purchases for the baby girl!

The Melissa and Doug food group set was a big hit with my two year old niece this Christmas. She plays with the food regularly at her kitchen and even loves to use the mini wooden crates in her pretending. I definitely think the look of the wood food is so much nicer than a lot of the plastic options out there.
