Bad Word!, April 30, 2010
Virtually the only Office component I use is Word, so I can't address Excel, etc. I am a contributing author for a major publisher and have found that their production people have real problems with Word 2008. As another reviewer said, it looks nice, but that's about it. It doesn't operate nearly as smoothly and isn't as flexible as the 2004 version. I frequently need to insert equations from MathType in documents. In 2008, the equations do not line up with the text, but are about 6 points above the line of type. Again citing an earlier reviewer, this version of Word makes me wonder if Microsoft isn't preparing to abandon Mac users. If so, that would be too bad. An Intel version that has all the convenience and usefulness of the 2004 model would be a welcome application indeed!
MIcrosoft Office, April 28, 2010
Very pleased. It performs exactly as I thought, and it was almost $40 less than anywhere else this product is available!
One of the few good things to come out of Microsoft, April 25, 2010
This works the way it should, though honestly the only reason I'm using this is for change tracking to work with other people using Office.
When you buy Office 2008, you get three license keys.
Does exactly what I needed it to do, April 23, 2010
I had been using iWork '09 on my Macbook but did not like the way I was unable to share documents with Windows users (just about everyone I know uses Windows). I got this program from Amazon (used the free shipping and it arrived even faster than they estimated it would) and now I can both open files created using Office for Windows and send my own files (aka my resume) to Windows users without wondering if it will work for them.
