I put one in a small rarely used closet that had no light. Stuck it to the ceiling with double-sided tape. Installation only took a few minutes instead of a few hours to install an AC outlet. Puts out barely enough light, but I didn't expect much. The main con for is no mounting hardware included.

This light is an excellent compromise if you are looking for something inexpensive, battery operated, that works "hands free" and provides a wide blanket of not-too-bright light. I bought this to get some light when I walked into my unlit, 8x10, and without-any-electricity garage storage room. The good points are the motion sensor works as advertised and the light provides a nice blanket of light. (Actually, blanket of dim and I'll get to that.) I didn't want to fumble for a switch and was glad to find something with a motion sensor. It turns on when I enter the room and off after I leave. No forgetting to turn it off and having the batteries run down (it pays for itself right there). It also covers a wide area, pretty much the entire room. The downside is that with such a wide beam (and LEDs that aren't as bright as those you might find in an expenseive LED flashlight) the light isn't *that* bright. It's good enough to make things out if you know what is there but not good enough, for example, to read labels.

I didn't want to rewire my closet but needed some light in there. The motion sensor works pretty good once you get it positioned to work for you needs. The lights aren't as bright as I thought they would be but it does work. I will probably get another one to really brighten up the closet. I haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but overall I think this is a pretty good product.

Let me explain =p My wife wanted a light near our patio to see the spot our puppy takes her "before bedtime poo". This gives just enough light to see and cleanup the present she leaves. No fuss - just walk in - light turns on. If a blue outworldly light - like those from alien abductions - bothers you, then this light may not be for you =p Since these come in a two pack, we use the other on our motor-home. Just enough light to see where you're going. Added plus, when someone approaches, it let's 'em know "hey, we can see ya!" ~~ Pluses ~~ Works as promised Relatively cheap compared to other solutions Batter powered - no wiring, no need for outlet Turns on by itself - Great for lazy ppl! ~~ Minuses ~~ Non so far
