Travolta should never be allowed to say M F'er, May 3, 2010
The movie was decent but John Travolta should never say M F'er because it just does not sound tough coming from him.
It was actually annoying when he says it..
This movie is awesome!, April 25, 2010
This was a great movie! Definite action but a great story line. John Travolta is in a role I've never seen him in before, what a great actor! Definitely a must see!
Definitely A Good Take, April 24, 2010
First and foremost, I must admit that I've never seen the original movie; I'm quite sure that it was pretty good. After all, there were some A-List actors who were in the re-make. Anyway...
In my opinion, John Travolta always plays a brilliant villian. He was the head Villian in the whole fiasco. In my opinion, he brings a whole new life to whatever character he portays. He was absolutely viscious yet at the same time communicable and engaging. He was somewhat of a sociopath in the movie; brilliantly played.
Denzel Washington was his usual stellar self playing the role of a motorman. He also juggled the role of hostage negotiator pretty well.
Without giving any of the movie away, this was an intense movie of negotiation where you didn't know who was going to have the upperhand by the end of the movie. Even the supporting cast did a great job.
A generous amount of suspence and drama. A good portion of action and a lot of twists in the movie. I'd definitely recommnend it.
Simply Terrible, April 12, 2010
(Spoilers, though there isn't much to spoil) I've not seen the original but this movie is just awful. Have you seen the previews? Oh, then you have seen the movie. Bad guy gets train, innocent bystander stops him and ends up hero in end. Well that about wraps up my review, enjoy this predictable and boring tale of the one man army. I mean, at least put a twist or something in there, one clever thing, that's all I wanted...
