Great Mini Computer Phone, April 23, 2010
We got this for our daughter when she was 19 months, and she has loved it. It is like a mini computer. If your child likes electronic toys then they will love this. It is like a mini handheld computer, educational, entertaining, and great for phone-obsessive children. This definitely holds her attention longer than any of the many other phones we have. She is just about 2 now and still happy to play with this phone.
Nice made toy, April 5, 2010
This is a great little phone. My son loves phones so this was a hit. I am a little disappointed with the screen I wish It was a little brighter. It is always hard to see. The graphics are cute. We have a few toy phones and I don't think this is the top choice for my 19th month old. He plays with it more like a toy not a phone. I like the simplicity of it. All it does is say the number you push. Plus the song and ring buttons on the bottom. It feels and looks like a sturdy toy not flimsy at all. I am hoping that as he understands numbers that it will be chosen more. I like the size it travels well. It is his "car seat" toy!
Definitely not up to age 5, March 3, 2010
The manufacturer's age range is up to 5 years old, but this toy is definitely not fun or a challenge for my 4 year old, who is even behind his age targets. It plays the same 10-12 songs over and over again, depending on which buttons you push. If it wasn't such a pain to send it back, I would. I could see it being worthwhile for up to 3 though- the visual and auditory repetition of the numbers probably does help kids learn their numbers.
great, but watch sound level!!!!!!! easy fix though..., February 22, 2010
This phone is definitely great fun for baby's and toddlers to play with. Educating and only English!! Not Spanish/English like many others. Only big concern I have is the amount of decibels coming out of the phone in the loudest setting. I found a quick fix and mounted a little thick and clear plastic piece cut to fit (bumper pad) on the leveler to prevent it to be set on the loudest setting (since baby will definitely put this toy against her developing ears!)and now i'm confident she will enjoy many hours playing without damaging her hearing.
With this change I would give it 5 stars, without 2 because of the health hazard. Have to see how buttons will hold over time but so far no trouble... Own 2 weeks now.
